SSC wrestlers take second at Valley Lutheran

SAGINAW — Standish-Sterling's wrestlers earned a second-place finish Saturday at Saginaw Valley Lutheran, winning four of five matches.

The Panthers edged Hemlock 42-41, lost to Birch Run 57-18, defeated Valley Lutheran 60-18, topped Arthur Hill 42-31, and defeated Bridgeport 46-33.

Machylle Porter earned MVP of the upper weights for the tournament.

The Panthers (8-15) host Whittemore-Prescott on Wednesday.
