SSC kickers rally, but still fall one goal short

LINCOLN -- Standish-Sterling Central battled back from a 2-0 halftime deficit to tie the score but host Lincoln Alcona tallied a goal in the final seconds to defeat the Panthers 3-2 in a Northeast Michigan Conference boys' soccer game Thursday, Sept. 17.
Tanner Trombley acounted for both SSC goals, the second on a penalty kick.
SSC slipped to 2-2 in the conference and 4-4 overall after the loss.
