Raymond “Terry” White, 54, of Sterling, passed away Sunday afternoon, Aug. 17, 2014, at the VA Palative Center in Saginaw.

Terry was born Nov. 17, 1959, in West Branch to the late Gerald and Ruth (Garrity) White.

Terry served his country in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. He worked in security for a nuclear power plant in southern Michigan, but enjoyed mostly his work as a truck driver for Standish Milling and Marine Transport for the last eight and a half years. Terry was accompanied during his cross county trips by his faithful dogs Bear and Sam, over those years. In his spare time he enjoyed gardening and listening to music.

Terry is survived by his special friend, Mary Card; faithful dog, Sam; brother, Gerald A. (Fran) White of Gladwin; sisters, Norma (Richard) Linton of Standish, Linda (James) Gray of Crystal Lake, Ill., Donna (Robert) Carrier of Sterling, Paula (William) Switala of Au Gres, Maria Rose of Johns Creek, Ga.; numerous nieces and nephews; aunts and uncles, and friends.

Visitation for Terry will take place Thursday, Aug. 21, 2014, from 9-11 a.m. at St. Mark Catholic Church, 415 S. Court Street, Au Gres. Funeral Service will begin at 11 a.m. at Church with Rev. Gerald Balwinski officiating. Following lunch, Interment will follow in Sterling Cemetery at 3 p.m. next to his beloved parents with Military Honors.
