Prescott man in serious condition after motorcycle accident

MOFFATT TWP. — A Prescott man reportedly struck a deer while riding a motorcycle around 10 p.m. June 18 and is in serious condition, according to Arenac County Undersheriff Donald McIntyre.

Archie Clark III, 51, was reportedly riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Maple Ridge Road at the time of the incident, McIntyre said. Clark suffered a head injury in the accident. He was reportedly not wearing a helmet at the time of the incident.

McIntyre said Clark was transported to St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital via MMR, and then transferred to Saginaw St. Mary's, where he remained in serious condition as of 10 a.m. June 20.

McIntyre said the Arenac County Sheriff’s Department expects to receive updates on Clark’s condition as they are made available.
