Police investigating breaking and entering at VFW Hall



LINCOLN TWP — The Arenac County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a breaking and entering at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall in Lincoln Township, Post 3724.

Undersheriff Donald McIntyre said a break-in occurred at the hall on Saturday, Aug. 20.

“We received a call at 8:57 a.m. reporting that the hall had been broken into,” he said.

McIntyre said an investigation is underway but the department does not have any suspects.

“We are looking at evidence but there are no suspects at this time,” he said.

Because of the ongoing investigation, McIntyre said he could not mention if anything was taken from the hall.

A representative from the VFW post could not be reached for comment for this article as of press time

McIntyre said anyone with information about the break-in is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department at 989-846-3002.
