Playoff matchups announced for area football teams

MICHIGAN — The Michigan High School Athletic Association announced the first round football playoff pairings Sunday, Oct. 21.

All games will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. Playoff pairings are listed below:

Whittemore-Prescott (6-3) @ Mancelona (9-0)

Cheboygan (6-3) @ Ogemaw Heights (6-3)

Standish-Sterling (6-3) @ Gladwin (7-2)

Au Gres-Sims (6-3) @ Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart (8-1) This game will be played at Central Michigan University

Mio (6-3) @ Beal City (9-0)
