BURTON — Pinconning's wrestling team came within a point of winning Saturday's Burton Bendle Dual Meet Tournament, falling to the hosts 40-39 in the title match.
Pinny defeated Williamston, Laker, Flint Central and Flint Powers despite voiding out four weight classes and giving up 24 points.
Seth Haas (140 pounds), Charles Burch (145), and Coty Swinson (189) each went 5-0 for the day while Taylor Pomaville (112), Adam Pawelski (119) and Tyler Wieland (130) were all 4-1.
Arthur Espitia (103), Brian Hardy (152) and Colton Lucynski (160) each went 3-2 for the day.
Pinny (16-5) opens up NEMC dual meet action at Standish-Sterling on Wednesday.
