Pinny girls' get first NEMC win

PINCONNING — Pinconning has come close on several occasions to churning out some big wins.
On Friday, the Spartans got over the hump with a 68-42 victory over Whittemore-Prescott in a game that Pinny led from start to finish.
After taking a 14-5 first quarter lead, Pinny outscored the Cards 21-5 in the second quarter to go up 35-10.
W-P put up its biggest eight minutes of the season in the fourth quarter, outscoring the Spartans 25-12, but by then the game was far out of reach.
Jessica Vidalez poured in 29 points while Lauren Pilot added 18 for Pinny (2-7, 1-2 NEMC).
Cortney Bork scored 16 points with Cory Durham adding 12 and Ashley Tanner 10 as W-P dropped to 1-8 (0-2).
