Pinconning spikers sweep W-P

WHITTEMORE -- Pinconning invaded the Whittemore-Prescott gymnasium for a Northeast Michigan Conference varsity volleyball match Wednesday, Aug. 26 and took no prisoners.

The visiting Spartans swept the host Cardinals 25-16, 25-20, 25-14.

"We played really well tonight," Pinconning coach Brandon Little said. "Saturday (at the Alma Invitational) we did not start out the season very strong. We came in on Monday knowing that we had to pick it up in practice in order to get to where we needed to be, and tonight really showed that.

Chelsea Adcock paced the Spartans with 11 kills, 13 digs and 10 service aces, while Emme Duranczyk had eight kills.

Jordan Maxwell had 10 assists and seven digs for Pinconning, while teammate Chelsea Jasman registered five kills and nine digs.
