Pinconning man charged with murder after Feb. 8 shooting

PINCONNING — A 26-year-old Pinconning man has been charged with murder after an alleged shooting Feb. 8 that resulted in the death of Brian Charboneau, 25.

Peter Heagany has been charged with open murder and felony firearm possession in relation to Charboneau’s death. Heagany was arraigned in 74th District Court in Bay County Feb. 10.

No bond has been set for Heagany, according to Michigan State Police Lieutenant Brian Cole.

Heagany was reportedly arrested at the scene of the alleged Feb. 8 shooting, according to a press release Cole issued after the incident. The alleged homicide was reported at approximately 11:20 a.m. on the 5000 block of North Huron Road in Pinconning.

The MSP Crime Lab, Bay County Sheriff’s Department and Northern Bay Ambulance assisted with the crime scene investigation.
