Pinconning kickers fall to Oscoda

Posted

OSCODA -- Pinconning was not match for Oscoda as the host Owls flew past the visiting Spartans 10-2 in boys high school soccer action Thursday, Aug. 27.

Pinconning coach Paul Wellman said his team played well, but had a hard time adjusting to Oscoda's style of play.

"They had more speed," Wellman said. "When they'd get the ball they'd dump it in and go after it. They didn't run set plays. They just dumped it in and chased."

Justin Federspiel scored both Pinconning goals, while teammate Drew Anderson was credit with one assist.
