Pinconning church plans festival

PINCONNING — The St. Michael Parish in Pinconning is holding a Festival July 20-22 with Detroit Tiger Mickey Lolich as the guest of honor.
A parade kicks off events July 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. Michael Parish, where Lolich will serve as parade marshal. The festival grounds also open at 6 p.m., and according to parishioner Kathy Krzysiak, it will include a fish fry and a blooperball tournament.
Saturday will see the festival grounds open again at 6 p.m. at the church, and will feature games, the music of the country music band Steel Wheels, and a food tent.
Sunday will feature the Steve Drzewicki Band and its polka at 10 a.m. for mass before performing again from 1-8 p.m. A homemade dinner will also be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and a talent show is scheduled for 3 p.m. at the church as well.
