On to the next chapter
Dear graduating seniors,
Congratulations, the day you have been working toward for the past 12 years is finally on the horizon –– the day you walk across the stage, shake hands with administrators, receive your diploma and start the next chapter in life.
But don’t let the fact that you are stepping out into the unknown scare you. Not knowing what comes next is half the fun.
For some it may be college or the military, and for others it may be the workforce. Whatever path you choose, always remember to go forward with confidence and strive for greatness.
Sure, you are bound to make mistakes, but don’t let your mistakes define who you are. Dust yourself off and try again, because according to Winston Churchill, “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.”
Good examples are Henry Ford when he created the Model T or the Wright brothers and the creation of the airplane. Each time they failed, they got right back up, fixed their mistakes, and eventually got it right.
And always remember to dream big and follow your heart. Do what you say you are going to do and you will accomplish many things. Even the smallest dream can lead to the adventure of a lifetime.
As you prepare to venture out to start the next chapter in your life, remember Walt Disney’s words ––“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”
