OMER — At Omer’s City Council meeting on Nov. 11, the Council tightened its spending practices and made a motion to replace and repair lights at City Hall and in one streetlight.
Omer Mayor Alice Sproule says the spending regulations, proposed by Councilman Larry Daly, sets a $100 spending limit for committees without Council approval.
Prior to the motion, committees could spend much more freely.
“If it was under $1,000, we (committees) could just okay it ourselves,” Sproule said.
