ARENAC COUNTY — A probation officer for the 34th Circuit Court in Ogemaw County has been charged with operating while intoxicated, according to Arenac County Prosecuting Attorney Curt Broughton.

Kenneth Lynn Werner, 40, of Gladwin, was arraigned in 81st District Court in Arenac County Jan. 7. Werner was pulled over on Alger Road in Moffatt Township Dec. 16 around 6:50 p.m., according to District Court Administrator Kelly Meschke.

Information from district court shows Werner was administered two Datamaster blood alcohol content breath tests after being pulled over. The first test showed a BAC of 0.23 percent, and the second, given a few minutes later, showed a BAC of 0.21 percent.

If convicted of OWI, Werner could face up to 93 days in jail and $500 in fines and costs. Werner is out on bond. He is scheduled for a pretrial examination in district court Jan. 28.
