Missing Alger man found in West Branch, returned home safely
ALGER — Terry Hutchins of Alger was not seen by his family for more than 24 hours over the weekend, but the 51-year-old was located Monday, June 24 and returned safely home.
Arenac County Undersheriff Donald McIntyre said Hutchins suffers from medical and developmental issues, and went missing late June 21. McIntyre said family members reported seeing Hutchins around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, but then at 6:30 a.m. Sunday, they could not locate him.
“We did send several units up to the area and family was also looking,” he said. “We deployed a K-9 but we were unable to get a track on that subject. The subject was located Monday in West Branch.”
Hutchins was at a motel in West Branch when he was found, McIntyre said. It is not known if he walked there or got a ride from somebody, he said.
“We were glad to get Mr. Hutchins back to his family,” he said
