Here are some of the stories we're reading today:
- Hard rock icons Metallica are inviting 30 bands to join them in Detroit for their Orion Music + More Festival, which will be held at the Belle Isle Conservancy June 8-9. Among those slated to appear are the Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Deftones.
- Were you able to stay up through the whole Academy Awards broadcast? If not, here’s a list of all the winners.
- The U.S. high school graduation rate is on the rise, and expected to hit 90 percent by 2020. However, some demographic groups are still being left behind, a report shows.
