Here are some stories in the news that we’re interested in today.

- The U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation Tuesday to avert tax increases for most Americans, but tax refunds may come later rather than sooner this tax season as the IRS is now trying to revise tax forms based on the recent legislation.

- 2012 sales figures are in for the U.S. automotive industry, and they’re the highest since 2007.

- And for the first time since the Dec. 14 shootings, Sandy Hook Elementary School students returned to school today.
