Health Department announces first H1N1 clinics for county

A letter sent to the Arenac County Board of Commissioners from the Central Michigan District Health Department listed times and places for free H1N1 vaccination clinics.

One site is the Standish-Sterling Central High School on Nov. 19. This clinic is for children only, and will run from 1-7 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis.

Medical first responders and healthcare workers will be able to get the free vaccine at the Health Department, on Deep River Road, on Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Clinics for other target groups identified by the Center for Disease Control will be announced in December.

The vaccination will be available to the general public at a date to be determined.
