Glenn tops Lady Spartans with solid second and third

BAY CITY — John Glenn outscored Pinconning 28-10 in the middle quarters Friday to spur a 46-33 victory over the Spartans in an NEMC girls’ basketball contest.

Pinny and Glenn played to a 12-12 tie after one quarter of play. But a combination of John Glenn's defense and foul trouble limited the Spartans' Jessica Vidalez to just two points after the first period and six overall.

Glenn led 24-16 at the half.

Lauren Bluhm paced Glenn (9-7, 4-4 NEMC) with 16 points, with Briana Sahr adding 11.

Lauren Pilot led the Spartans (4-11, 1-6) with 19 points.
