Campfire spreads to woods in Mason Township

A fire reported at approximately 1:30 p.m. April 3 spread to the woods on the south side of Jose Road in Mason Township. The fire was responded to by the Twining-Mason-Turner, Omer-Arenac and Michigan Department of Natural Resources fire departments. Damages incurred and possible injuries are not known at this time. Pages over the emergency scanner said the fire reached into woods behind a residence on the 200 block of Jose Road.
