Farm Bureau volunteers to give “corny” demonstration to second-graders

STERLING — Even in an agriculture-based community like Arenac County, local veterinarian Dr. John Schwab said the majority of local students “still don’t understand what agriculture is all about.”
With that in mind, Schwab, a member of the county’s Farm Bureau board, said the board would be continuing its in-class program, “Ag in the Classroom,” this year, with the focus of the program turning to corn.
