STANDISH — The Saginaw Bay Ducks Unlimited group is planning to hold its annual banquet March 15 at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Standish, featuring raffles, a silent auction, and dinner.
According to Dale Borske, zone chairman for the Saginaw Bay Ducks Unlimited, tickets are $60 for a single or $80 for a couple, and will include a Ducks Unlimited membership, a bi-monthly magazine, door prizes and the dinner. For a couple ages 17-25 years, the cost is $50.
Tickets are not being sold at the door, and are only available through pre-registration, either by purchasing them at Wheeler’s Restaurant in Standish or by contacting Borske at 989-876-7341.
He said the event usually has about 200 guests, and that this is the 27th year they have held it.
“The benefits of joining Ducks Unlimited are a personal satisfaction in helping to preserve, protect and enhance wetlands and waterfowl for now and generations to come,” Borske said. “This is also a great event to get together with fellow conservationists in your community to enjoy an evening of dining and fundraising towards that goal.”
Those who register for the event by March 4 get entered into a raffle for a $200 package, and according to Borske, a 15-gun raffle is being brought back this year due to its popularity in the past. An over/under dinner gun raffle for a Ducks Unlimited Fausti 12-gauge is also scheduled.
The hall’s address is 4335 W. M-61 in Standish. The doors open at 5:30 p.m., and dinner starts at 7 p.m.
