Clarity hearing scheduled for school board recall


STANDISH — Whether or not Kim Hadd has clear language in her attempted recall of four Standish-Sterling Board of Education members will be decided on Oct. 30.

The clarity hearing in the recall attempt will be held in the Arenac County 23rd Circuit Courtroom at 10 a.m.

Hadd, of Standish, is attempting to recall board president Jerry Nelson, board vice-president Gary McFarland, and board members Kim Koin and Brenda Golimbieski.

Reasons for recall Hadd listed include (alleged) violations of the board's code of conduct, not allowing public comment at a meeting, improper layoff procedures and discussing school issues outside of scheduled meeting times.
