City of Standish selects a treasurer, interviews for city manager

STANDISH — After five months of hysteria in the City of Standish’s governing body, work is underway to bring closure to the situation, which saw Standish’s city manager and city treasurer first placed on paid-suspension and then fired and criminally charged, by replacing the two positions.
While the two former city employees haven’t been tried in court yet, Standish City Council moved forward and interviewed six candidates for each position during special meetings on Friday night and Saturday morning.
