Arenac County children had their first opportunity to tell Santa their Christmas wishlist face-to-face Nov. 29 in Standish. Santa met with children at the Standish Historical Depot, taking a night off from riding his sleigh and opting for a ride on a Standish Area Fire Authority fire truck instead. Children also received a candy cane after meeting with Santa, and could get a cup of hot chocolate and some cookies.
