Car stolen, six others broken into

STANDISH — On Wednesday, Aug. 4, at approximately 2:30 a.m., a vehicle was stolen at Diane Court, north of Orchard Street, in Standish, and six others were broken into.

The stolen vehicle, a black Chevy Impala four-door, was recovered Thursday, Aug 5, in Detroit by the Detroit Police Department.

Undersheriff Donald McIntyre said there are no suspects and the vehicle is being investigated for evidence.

McIntyre said deputies were called out when a woman noticed her car was broken into, and they noticed other vehicles had also been vandalized. He said CD players were stolen from the vehicles.

“There is not a lot of evidence at this time,” he said.

McIntyre said the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at 989-846-9182.
