Relay For Life of Arenac County honored cancer survivors with an ice cream social at the Standish Historical Depot Sunday, June 30. The event was not only held to recognize the strength and perseverance of cancer survivors, but to give them a chance to preregister for Relay For Life and to receive their survivor T-shirts, so they have them when the show up to Relay. Several Relay Committee members volunteered to run the registration and serve ice cream to the visitors, and Standish’s Sharon Miller played keyboard to provide a musical background at the ice cream social.
