Braves feast on Cards

WHITTEMORE — Tawas Area's boys’ basketball team capped the first half of Friday's NEMC contest at Whittemore-Prescott by outscoring the Cardinals 22-6 on the way to a 67-32 victory.

Tawas (8-5, 4-3 NEMC) led 17-9 after the first quarter but had seven players score in the second period, with Cody Jordan, D.J. Decker, Justin Bielby and Jeff Janis each contributing two baskets apiece.

All but one Brave scored in the contest, led by Janis with 13 points, Decker with 12 and Siwek with 11.

W-P's (2-13, 0-7) Billy Raushi led all scorers with 17 points, but no other Cardinal had more than four.
