BUNDLE UP! Freezing temps expected tonight


The National Weather Service (NWS) is reporting widespread freezing throughout the Northern Lower Peninsula and Upper Peninsula tonight.

Arenac, Iosco, Ogemaw, Roscommon, Oscoda and Gladwin counties are all anticipated to experience freezing temperatures, per the NWS, with temperatures in Arenac County possibly dipping into the upper-20s tonight at their lowest point.

The frost is expected to hit after 2 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Strong winds are expected to pick up again as well, starting Thursday. According to the NWS, areas near the shore of Lake Huron could be subject to winds classified as gale force winds.
