AUGRES — AuGres-Sims school board member Jeffrey Taylor has resigned from the board effective Jan. 18.

Taylor’s resignation letter was read during the Jan. 18 AuGres-Sims school board meeting. In his letter, Taylor said he could not remain on the school board due to conflicts with his job.

According to AuGres-Sims Superintendent Annie Doriean, the board has 20 days to fill the position. The district will accept applications for the next seven days. Applications can be picked up from the superintendent’s office.

Taylor’s term expires in December.
