Arenac County agrees to deal with Volunteer Energy


STANDISH — Arenac County has agreed to a contract with Ohio-based Volunteer Energy for natural gas services to be provided to the county courthouse and jail.

The Arenac County Board of Commissioners, at its June 15 meeting, consented to allow Volunteer Energy to contract natural gas for the county through a discount program. The board approved that motion by a 4-1 vote, with Commissioner Joseph Sancimino casting the lone no vote.
