AGS girls take second at Oscoda tri-meet

OSCODA — Host Oscoda won the girls’ side of its tri-meet with AuGres-Sims and Alcona, scoring 68 points to the Wolverines' 63 and Alcona's 32.

Winning events for the Owls were Mariah Wood in the discus (85-2); Megan Zarachowicz in the high jump (4-8); Mari Businski in the 100 hurdles (17.92); Chelsea LaLonde in the 300 hurdles (52.82); the 4x800 relay team (12:59.46); the 4x200 relay team (2:05.54); Rheinhard in the 1600 (6:44.50); the 4x100 relay (57.88);

AuGres-Sims' winners were Sam Wheeler in the long jump (13-1); Emily Lutz in the shot put (31-0.25); Sarah McGuire in the 100 (14.46) and 200 (30.90); and Kelsey Heinrich in the 3200 (13:49.42).
