AUGRES — AuGres-Sims' girls basketball team took advantage of a depleted Oscoda lineup Monday to roll to an easy 46-19 non-conference victory.
The Owls were missing leading scorer Heather Patterson and guard Megan Zarachowicz, who were both injured in the previous Friday's game against Alcona. The Wolverines raced to a 17-0 lead before Krystin Inman got the Owls on the board late in the first quarter.
AGS led 19-2 after the first period and 28-7 at the half.
Emily Lutz scored 17 points and had seven steals, while Adriane Swaffield, Tasha Trombley and Tonie VanSickle each added six points as AGS improved to 8-4.
Ashley Scott led the Owls (1-7) with eight points.
