AuGRES – A proposal discussing the possible merging of AuGres-Sims and Arenac Eastern athletics was brought forward at the AuGres-Sims school board meeting on Monday, March 19.

The proposal highlighted several concerns and possible outcomes if the merger was to happen.

A committee was formed to meet with Arenac Eastern to explore the proposal further.

According to the Michigan High School Athletic Association, the school districts have until April 15 to submit their request to combine fall sports for the 2012-13 school year.
