Eagles go 1-3 against Alcona


ALCONA -- Arenac Eastern claimed one win in a four-game set with Alcona Tuesday, Aug. 25.

The match was the first for the Eagles, who topped Alcona in the third game of the set, 26-24. Alcona's wins were by scores of 25-12, 25-18, 25-16.

Ilamae Mahon paced the Eagles effort with five kills and 10 assists, Tiffany Micacle had three service aces and 10 assists, while Heather Norton registered 12 assists.

“They played like they have played volleyball for a while,” Arenac Eastern volleyball coach Hannah Neil said. “Their defense was so exciting to watch; the volleys were long.

“We have a lot to build on and the only thing we can do is get stronger.”
