15-year-old girl struck by vehicle in Standish

STANDISH — On Sunday, Aug. 1, a 15-year-old girl riding a bicycle was struck by a vehicle heading south on Main Street in Standish.
According to the police report, the girl was struck at the intersection of Main Street and Beaver Street by a vehicle traveling south on Main Street.
Undersheriff Donald McIntyre said the girl’s injuries were considered non-life threatening, and she was transported to St. Mary’s of Michigan Standish Hospital.
According to the police report, a witness said the girl rode her bicycle into the path of the driver.
