The inaugural, "red carpet" event, aimed to recognize the vast talented history of the Northeast Michigan music scene and to raise funds for local charities and school music programs, is slated for Tuesday evening, May 1, 2012 at the beautiful AuSable Inn in Oscoda, Michigan.

The production will include live performances by some of the area's best local bands, regional and national celebrities and the presentation of 7 gorgeous, crystal awards to some of the most spectacular talent the "Sunrise Side" has to offer. This event is open to the public, as they are encouraged to attend and support their local entertainers, with a miniscule $1.00 cover charge. Furthermore, all money raised beyond production costs will be distributed to various local charities and school music programs, in order to foster the future of the Northeast Michigan music scene.

This event is fan voted, via our online website. Eligible award candidates must hail from, or have performed in, the counties which make up the "Sunrise Side," including Alcona, Alpena, Arenac, Iosco, Montmorency, Northern Bay, Ogemaw, Oscoda and Presque Isle.
