Regretful Heart
It had been raining for a week now in Deyton, Ohio. This month of October it supposed to be sunny where people would be seen in beaches and having their own house party. But these past few days, streets seem dull and abandoned. No steps would be heard, either by people or animals. At night, the whole community is like a ghost town. Oh! How this climate change gave huge effect to the lifestyle of many people living here.
As a student, it is never new to me that this change would come soon. In our Science class, Mr. Trawleney would often tell us to take care of our environment even in the simplest way we can. He kept on reminding us that this world would soon be against us because of the bad returns we’ve given to our Mother Nature. He would even have a look of a scared person when he talks about the topic of Climate change. At first I don’t know why he acted that way. I even felt angry when he asks to write my essay about the stupid topic. My other classmates felt the same way too so we decided to write the essay just for the sake of passing it.
Now, it’s our school vacation in Deyton because of the heavy rain we’re experiencing. I cannot help but think about what I did with my essay. I am just hoping that this raining would end soon and we could still come back in school. And see Mr. Trawleney. I promise, I would pass an essay again to him. An essay made seriously and with my heart on it.
