The Resurrection of the Lord Catholic Church in Standish has placed 3,000 flags out in their yard, calling it the Field of Flags. Father Jim Fitzpatrick said the flags were placed out front for people to remember the 3,000 people who died on Sept. 11, 2001 and to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the church. He said the flags will remain until after the elections are held on Nov. 9. more
